TOPIC: You Are An Heir (TREM Devotional 5 November 2024)

“And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” – Romans 8:17 (KJV)

Wisdom For The Day MESSAGE:

Child of God, you are no more a servant but a son. Having been adopted into the family of God as a son of the King, you have rights and privileges that automatically accrue to you. As a result of your new status, you are an heir of God. You are joint heirs with Christ. This makes you legally eligible for an equal share of God’s blessings and resources. This means that whatever Jesus has access to, you also have the same level of access because the Father loves you just as much as He loves Jesus! With Him, there is no difference.

As an heir of God, not only do you have an inheritance in God, but you also have a domain. You have a territory over which you exercise your authority. “The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s: But the earth hath he given to the children of men.” (Psalm 115:16 KJV). Your sonship rights must be expressed here on earth. Even though man’s authority was lost to the devil through Adam, God’s love for us through Christ has restored us to glory. Therefore, we cannot afford to allow the enemy to run roughshod over us any longer.

You are a son, and the Father loves you dearly. Don’t allow the enemy to tell you otherwise. Refuse every lie that is designed to make you feel inferior to what God has made you. If Jesus cannot be denied, you likewise cannot be denied because the Father loves Jesus. And since you are in Christ, the same measure of love is expressed to you. Cease from looking down in disappointment and despair over that need that seems not to have been met. Your need is already met! That prayer has been answered already. There is no need that is more important or more precious than Jesus. If He has given you Jesus, with Him, He will freely give you all things.
