AMMAN — Saudi Arabia delivered the third instalment of the financial support to the State of Palestine for the year 2024, amounting to $10 million, in a ceremony held in Amman on Thursday. This brings the total monthly financial support provided to Palestine to $30 million, in a move that reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people.
The instalment was delivered by Naif Al-Sudairi, Saudi ambassador to Jordan, non-resident ambassador to Palestine, and consul general in Jerusalem, during his meeting with the Palestinian Minister of Finance Omar Bitar at the embassy headquarters.
Speaking on the occasion, Bitar praised the Kingdom’s steadfast historical position towards Palestine, supporting its legitimate rights and establishing an independent Palestine state. The minister conveyed the greetings of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, to the Kingdom and its leadership for their permanent political, economic and humanitarian support.

On his part, Ambassador Al-Sudairi affirmed the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people. He noted that the Kingdom has provided continuous financial support in the form of humanitarian, relief and development aid to the Palestinian people over the past years, amounting to about $5.3 billion to contribute to supporting Palestine, enhancing the steadfastness of the Palestinians and alleviating their suffering in the face of economic and humanitarian challenges.
It is noteworthy that this aid was allocated to support vital sectors, including the health sector, while a portion of it will be allocated to support hospitals and drug suppliers, in addition to the education sector.
