One Piece Episode 1096 Review: Vegapunk Revealed, Ohara Flashback Explained!

Shaka tells Sanji and the others his theory regarding the ancient kingdom. His theory suggest that the kingdom was once central of the Void Century. It was later destroyed by the “first twenty,” twenty monarchs that became the Celestial Dragons and the World Government. The government banned the study of time period which produced a century long gap in recorded history.

He recalls the Ohara incident. Shaka suggests that the Buster Call was ordered due to the scholars attempt to study the Void Century. Shaka arrived at the island to find it destroyed and books in the lake. Apparently, the scholars sacrificed their lives to save the books from burning. Robin escaped with the knowledge. Shaka had the books excavated but encountered Monkey D. Dragon.

Elsewhere, Luffy and Chopper try to use the ancient robot that they found. Suddenly, they encounter Dr. Vegapunk who tried to warp inside the robot. Luffy pulls him out. When Dr. Vegapunk uses his hover boots Luffy and Chopper are excited. He teaches them how to use them and they rocket into the sky.
