Reader Recommendations – Grovel books where she’s a simple, good girl and the bad boy hurts her irreparably…

Shivani has a specific request. And while I have a ton of amazing grovel books and lists, she’s narrowed it down to this kind of nitty gritty, so maybe you know of just the one that will hit the spot.

She asks:

First things first, I have a very specific reading itch, and I can’t find anything that fits the bill so please help.

I want to read a book where the h is a simple girl with family’s responsibility and a hardworking nature, and a H that is essentially a jerk, or bad boy. And he hurts her irreparably. So I need a solid grovel too, book long at that!

I prefer contemporary and it would be best if we could have twilight-esque atmosphere then *chef’s kiss*.

Please please give some recs.
