We are so honored to host a guest post for our Ramadan crafts 30-day challenge from Sarah at SarahIJaved.

Sister Sarah is sharing how she made these bright and colorful Eid party crackers, which are great fun to pull apart to discover a treat inside.

To celebrate our 11th annual Ramadan crafts 30-day challenge, we are hosting guest posts for most of the month, if you have a craft, resource, or recipe you’d like to share, please let us know.

Eid Party Crackers

These crackers make any table look Eid ready. They are quick and easy to make and fun to pull apart and enjoy with friends and family.

Materials:

  • Cardboard tubes
  • Tissue paper in a variety of colours
  • Twist ties
  • Coloured paper
  • Eid stickers/small moon and star stickers
  • Double sided tape
  • Glue

How to do it:

Measure and cut the tissue paper to size. Approximately 11 x 11 inches.

Next, wrap some double sided tape around the cardboard tube and carefully roll the tube from the edge of the tissue paper until it is covered completely.

Tie one end of the tissue paper with a twist tie.

Fill with as many treats as you would like from the other side and then gather the tissue paper and secure with a twist tie.

Cut a smaller strip of tissue paper in a different colour, wrap and glue that around the cracker.

Add Eid stickers to the strip or you can use the coloured paper to draw and cut out your own Eid designs and add those to the centre of the strip on the cracker.

Pull the Eid crackers with your friends and family and enjoy the treats inside!
