IAG Cargo launches 2025 graduate scheme

IAG Cargo’s 2025 graduate programme has now opened to offer young people the chance to learn skills critical to a career in air cargo and logistics.

Now in its 12th year, the two-year IAG Cargo graduate programme offers experience across operations, commercial, transformation and finance at its London Heathrow Airport-based head office.

IAG Cargo also offers a three-year finance graduate programme, which sees participants spend time with multiple teams within the finance department.

The cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG) noted that 80% of candidates from the 2023 graduate programme intake had secured full time roles with IAG Cargo.

Offering a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements and discounted flights amongst other employee benefits, the two-year programme is accepting applicants until January 5.

Caroline Andrews, chief people officer at IAG Cargo, said: “The logistics industry is one of the world’s most exciting and fastest moving. It is therefore crucial that we, at IAG Cargo, have a skilled, diverse, dynamic team ready to deliver innovative transport solutions for customers across the world.

“With hubs in London, Barcelona, Madrid and Dublin and offices across six continents, our Graduate Programme enables participants to travel and to gain not only experience, but also valuable insight and exposure to operations across a global business.

“In response to both the current needs of the business and feedback from participants we continuously build and develop the programme, which has become an industry leading platform to launch a career in logistics. Many alumni have secured full time employment with IAG Cargo which is testament to its success and indeed the hard work and commitment from our graduates.

“These individuals are playing a significant role within our business which transports goods from car parts to lifesaving vaccines to fresh fruit and vegetables on the 12,000 flights we offer a week, and I am very excited to welcome the 2025 intake to our team.”

IAG Cargo saw third quarter 2024 cargo revenues increase by 15.6% year on year to €304m on the back of a 16.3% increase in cargo tonne kms (CTK) to 1.3bn CTK.
