Former President Donald Trump should be commended for his energy, especially his energy while on the campaign trail.
He is nearly 80 years old and arguably does more work in a day than his Democratic counterpart, Vice President Kamala Harris, who is nearly two decades younger. Look no further than Trump’s recent Pennsylvania blitz, in which he made three separate appearances across the state, from serving meals at a McDonald’s in suburban Philadelphia to attending an NFL game in Pittsburgh. If there was any doubt before, it should now be abundantly clear: Trump has significantly more energy and stamina than Harris.
In recent nonsensical attacks against Trump, the Harris campaign tried to portray the former president as a tired old man exhausted from campaigning. Given Trump’s documented campaign work ethic, this was a foolish strategy, only believed by the most brainwashed.
Moreover, while Harris was hiding from interviews for the first two months of her campaign, Trump tirelessly campaigned nationwide. Last week, in Pennsylvania, the 78-year-old showed once again that he has more energy, stamina, and endurance than his opponent, a woman nearly 20 years his junior.
He began his day serving fries at a McDonald’s restaurant in suburban Philadelphia. He ended it at the Sunday Night NFL game between the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In between, he hosted a town hall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, widely recognized as “Amish Country” in the Keystone State and located about 90 minutes west of Philadelphia.
The man is arguably a machine. Even some of his biggest detractors have admitted this. And, regardless of one’s opinion of Trump, it would be, at best, wholly disingenuous and, at worst, absolutely dishonest to infer any regular lethargy hinders him. Doing so is as truthful as, say, being the “border czar” and making the outlandish statement that the border is secure during an interview with Chuck Todd in September 2022 after a record number of immigrants illegally entered the country.

One could criticize Trump for a variety of reasons, but being slowed down, tired, or exhausted is a fool’s errand. He constantly outworks everyone, traveling from state to state and city to city. He regularly goes above and beyond what other presidential candidates do. This strategy was puzzling for the Harris campaign, especially in the closing weeks of the election.
It was always a foolish decision to brand Trump as lethargic and tiresome. And, in typical Harris fashion, it was a baseless claim.
