Air Montenegro will restore regular charter flights between Podgorica and Tel Aviv this summer season. The service from the Montenegrin capital is set to resume on April 16. The flights are catering for Israeli tourists visiting the country. Air Montenegro will complement Israir and Sun d’Or on services between the two nations. A record 80.000 Israeli tourists visited Montenegro last year. “Although Israel is going through some challenging times, I am certain this year we will witness another record season when it comes to Israeli tourists. Given that tourism is the number one source of income for Montenegro, we are trying to maintain the flow of visitors from Israel, regardless of the situation in the country. Israelis feel safe and comfortable in Montenegro due to the friendly environment and kindness that make it an even easier choice to select for a holiday”, Nimrod Rinod, the Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Israel, said.
