Shatta Wale’s “Badman” video looks like a war zone

The video for Shatta Wale’s “Badman” is out and looks really scary. Its full of machete wielding people running around in a ghetto. At the same time the harsh, rebellious lyrics are delivered by Shatta Wale in Jamaican patwa. Without the images, you would have thought this was a reggae or dance-hall artiste from the Caribbeans delivering the song. This is the genius of the Ghanaian artiste. Despite being from West Africa, he could still sing in the dialect native to places like Jamaica thousands of miles from his native Ghana. The video is out now on YouTube and already has over 15k views in 24 hours.
