After releasing a dozen different craft beers, Deftones have unveiled their first non-alcoholic beer, aptly named Tone Zero.
The first beer released under the Tone Zero moniker is a Japanese-style rice lager developed in collaboration with DrinkSip, a company started by CraftShack.com founder Julian Yakoo.
Per a press release, “The first in the Tone Zero series is a Japanese-style rice lager, offering a crisp, refreshing taste, with subtle enhancements from rice water that bring a depth to the flavor profile. Whether you’re taking a break from alcohol or embracing a non-alcoholic lifestyle, Tone Zero is designed to give you the same premium experience that Deftones fans expect.”
As the description above implies, drinkers of non-alcoholic beer can expect more flavors of Tone Zero to be released in the future.
The announcement of Tone Zero comes just a few days after Deftones unveiled their most recent alcoholic beer, Dia De Los Deftones Mexican Style Lager with Lime. The beer is the band’s latest collaboration with Belching Beaver Brewery, and comes just as Deftones get set to headline their annual Dia De Los Deftones festival on Saturday (November 2nd) at Petco Park in San Diego.
In addition to the festival, Deftones recently announced a full-scale 2025 North American headlining tour with support from The Mars Volta. Tickets to that outing are available here.
