Bruce Springsteen will headline Kamala Harris and Barack Obama’s joint rally in Atlanta on Thursday, October 24th, and will join Obama once again at a concert event for Harris’ campaign in Philadelphia on Monday, October 28th.
The pair of rally performances will kick off a string of Harris campaign concerts taking place in swing states like Georgia and Pennsylvania ahead of the election on November 5th. More concerts will be announced in the next few days.
While Springsteen just claimed that he avoids politics at his own concerts, the singer and songwriter is a longtime supporter of the Democratic party, and he previously played rallies for Obama’s campaign. Springsteen endorsed Harris for president earlier this month in a video (aptly filmed at a New Jersey diner), blasting Trump and claiming that he is the “most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime.”
Springsteen will join a long list of musicians that have performed (or will perform) at Harris rallies thus far. Eminem will be supporting Harris by joining Obama at a campaign event in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, Michael Stipe joined Jason Isbell at a campaign event in Pittsburgh, Bon Iver played a Harris rally in his native Wisconsin, and Megan Thee Stallion performed at a rally in Atlanta this summer.
