Some of the parking and recreational areas are closed but the trails around Lake Red Rock (Corps of Engineers property) are still open to foot traffic so we took advantage of it to hike back to the wooded "Hepatica hill" where every spring for a week or so it is covered with the delicate purple, pink, and white blooms. We hit it at the perfect time and I’m so glad we didn’t have to miss it this year.
