Oklahoma’s state tree is the "Redbud Tree". About the end of February and beginning of March we see these brilliant splashes of magenta, pink and crimson all over the endless oak forests and towns. It is always one of the first trees to bloom, giving way to heart-shaped leaves of red and green. I always thought of it as a special tree.
