In a dog’s world, loyalty is pure and straightforward. When kindness is shown, it’s returned tenfold. Bach, a stray dog who lived on the streets, knew this well. His world revolved around his best friend, a white female dog. The two shared a bond so deep that they were inseparable, wandering the streets together in search of food, always side by side. The locals grew accustomed to the sight of the two friends, and they became a familiar and heartwarming pair in the neighborhood.
Of all the people who showed them kindness, one man, a roast duck shop owner, stood out. Every day, he shared his food with them, setting out a bag of food that the two shared gratefully. The duo never missed their daily treat – until one day when something changed.
One morning, Bach showed up at the shop alone. His companion was nowhere in sight. Concerned but still offering the usual bag of food, the shop owner watched as Bach took it and hurriedly trotted away, his behavior strangely urgent. Intrigued, the man decided to follow.
Bach led him through winding streets and alleys until he finally stopped near a pile of leaves by a bush. Gently placing the food down, Bach waited, and it was then that the man saw why Bach had been in such a hurry. Nestled in the leaves was his mate, who had just given birth to a puppy. Bach had brought her food so she could care for the newborn. This puppy could be Bach’s and he felt an attachment to him as well!
The sight left the man speechless. Whether it was Bach’s puppy or not, the dog showed an incredible act of friendship and care. Touched, the man decided to help, carefully picking up the tiny puppy to take it to his home, providing it with warmth and safety since it didn’t look like the puppy was doing well on the streets. But the mother dog would not allow the man to grab her.
Over the next few days, Bach stayed close to the mama dog as she adjusted to her puppy being gone. She hid under cars, waiting for the man to bring her puppy by. With each visit, her trust grew, and eventually, she let her guard down, understanding that this man meant no harm. Soon, the shop owner had won both her and her puppy’s trust, and the little family found a forever home with him.
For the first time, they felt the comfort and security of a real home, safe from the perils of street life. The puppy blossomed in his new environment, his playful energy bringing life and joy to the household, quickly becoming the family’s little star. His mother, content and relaxed, settled into her new home but continued to see Bach every day when she accompanied her new dad to work.

Seeing her thrive in a new home fulfilled his life as well as hers.
