Embraer completed the initial test flight of the E190F prototype this month. The conversion freighter is expected to receive FAA approval by the third quarter, the planemaker told Cargo Facts.
The first operator of the E190F will be Kenya-based Astral Aviation, which aims to be the largest operator of the E190F and expects to take delivery of its first aircraft in November.
Embraer plans to begin converting the first E195 in 2025.
Gomes joined Embraer as an engineer trainee in 2008, working on the conceptual design and marketing of new aircraft. He was promoted to strategic marketing director in 2018.
Cargo Facts LATAM will provide attendees a forum to engage with key decision-makers in the air cargo market in the Latin American region.
