An Introduction to People Advisors

Our People Advisors already started with a level of expertise because they’ve been supporting our clients with payroll, strategic decision-making around benefits packages, and more. But with the extra level of training provided by completing the certification, they lock in that knowledge. 

To get certified as a People Advisor, our team had to complete coursework that first focused on payroll, then expanded all the way across the employee lifecycle. They also had to pass a Gusto-administered exam. 

That sets us up to provide broader and deeper support for startups as they work to support their employees. As Jaclyn Anku, former Director of Community and Education at Gusto, explained, “People Advisory as a service establishes a foundation where clients can outsource their compliance tasks like payroll processing, tax filings, and payments. And in return, it gives accountants the platform [they] need to provide that strategic advice, insights, and added value.” 

With this certification, we have added validation of our qualification to help with full-scale payroll and benefit package planning. Beyond that, our team had a refresher of best practices we can use to help you establish optimized business workflows for your team.
