Only Love Can Hurt Like This by Paige Toon is the first book I’ve read by Toon. It’s a contemporary romance. Written from the main character, Wren’s perspective.
Wren finds out her fiancé started having feelings for someone else. They broke up because of this.Wren decided to travel home for the summer. She runs into Anders, a family friends son. Anders has his own baggage as well. Wren and Anders’ relationship is slow. Both of them are guarded.
The storyline and pace of the book were okay. The pace of the book was slow.The plot didn’t really have movement until more than halfway. I don’t know if I will read more by Paige Toon.I rate the book a 4 out of 10.
