As you know, Miles & Points is a passion I have pursued for a very long time over decades. Back in the day, I was as clueless as everyone else about where to start. Over a period of time, I gathered my skillset from a combination of sources and learned from those before me. And now, that skill set helps me and my family travel by the droves while paying for it with miles rather than cash.
The Mileage Mentor MasterClass is your ticket to travelling with your points, miles and credit card points for next to nothing. The first of these was organised in 2018, and since then, we have been able to have a few hundred people walk through the door and get better with their appreciation of points and miles.
For instance, we did a 15-day vacation in December 2018, where we spent time in Europe chasing Christmas Markets, and we flew Business Class on the way out & First Class on the way back to Mumbai. We paid only for two hotel nights, and everything else came with points. Every year, it has been a different adventure, powered by miles and points, for over a decade.
And now, it is time to pay it forward. My goal has been to educate people as much as I can to use their miles and earn them wisely. Since 2018, we have held the Mileage Mentor MasterClasses in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. Given the pandemic, we moved the Mileage Mentor MasterClass to an online mode, and we already had 100s of participants go through the online format.
The Miles and Points world has been changing rapidly over the past years. And so has been the situation on the ground. Things have been rapidly evolving over the past 6-8 months.
While I love the offline format, the intention with the online form is to bring into the fold those participants who wouldn’t want to travel to one of our principal cities to attend a workshop. And sure enough, we had participants from Nagpur, Jaipur, Aurangabad, Varanasi, Kolkata, Howrah, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, and Jodhpur amongst other cities around the country. The people from the metropolises continue to join in as well.
I’ve heard from people who have not been able to attend a session due to the double days of commitment required earlier, so we have made it a one-day session going forward. Hoping everyone can restart their travel in 2024 on a great note earning miles and points.
We have planned a MasterClass for April 14, 2024. The MasterClass is intended to be a 5-6hour interactive workshop where we start with the basics and then move on to more advanced subjects, which should eventually leave you with a strategy on how to earn and burn loyalty points towards travel. The online workshop is split into two sessions, allowing you a lunch break.
In these 5-hour workshops for beginners and intermediate-level users, we will talk to you along the following lines:
- Miles & Points Concepts
- Airlines: How to Earn those Miles and How to Burn those Miles to get on the pointy edge of the plane
- Hotels: Why being loyal helps you, and how to maximise your hotel loyalty benefits
- Credit Cards: Learn how to generate miles and points on your everyday purchases and what works best for your spending.
We will talk about the Indian perspective and how you can get the best seats in the house from India. After the workshops, we will leave the floor open to help answer your questions.
The Event details are as follows:
- April 14, 2024 (10:00 AM)
- Once bought, a ticket is non-refundable. However, you can transfer it to someone else.
- Internet Access and Computer access will be required.
- If the event is cancelled, the organiser’s liability is limited to a full refund of the fee paid.

Here is an exciting story from one of our readers, who managed to go from zero to 80,000 miles by using the knowledge from the forum.
You can book your tickets here. We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
Here is the link for purchasing your tickets. Also, if you’d like to earn as a family, perhaps you should sign up as a couple, given it helps if both spouses know as much about miles and points and are equally on board.
