International Women’s Day 2024 | DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants

Every year on March 8, the world comes together to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD)—a day dedicated to honouring the many achievements of women, having conversations about the biases and discrimination they face, and furthering efforts to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive world. It serves not only as a day of celebration but also as a crucial reminder of the strides made toward achieving gender equality and the journey that still lies ahead.

This year, the theme is “Inspire Inclusion,” a powerful message encouraging everyone to foster an environment where every person, regardless of gender is included, valued and heard. It emphasizes the importance of creating an environment where diversity is not just recognized, but celebrated, and challenges us to consider how we can all contribute to a more inclusive world.

At DMCL, this means celebrating the incredible women in our communities and joining in on the conversation about how we can all #InspireInclusion. Today, we’re spotlighting a few local women-led and owned businesses that have been nominated by staff, clients and friends of DMCL for their amazing achievements and contributions to our communities.

Highlighting these remarkable women, serves as a reminder that gender equality is one of the most effective ways to build healthier, more prosperous, and more inclusive communities.
