The X-Men‘s Phoenix will get her own solo series this summer, and her new adventures will see her traveling through space and facing some of the Marvel Universe’s most terrifying villains. CBR has an exclusive first look at the cover for Phoenix #3.
The new Phoenix series is the first to come in the new era of X-Men, titled ‘From the Ashes‘. The first issue goes on sale July 17 and sees Jean Grey heading to the edge of a black call to answer a desperate S.O.S. call from NOVA. In CBR’s first look at Phoenix #3, her space adventures ramp up as the cover art shows her using all of her powers in battle before. Phoenix #3’s explosive cover is by Yasmine Putri and shows the titular character go head-to-head with the children of Thanos, known as the Black Order.

Phoenix Helps Kick Off From The Ashes
Phillips’ new solo series starring Phoenix is one of the first to come following the events of the Fall of X. With the Krakoan era ended, Marvel is now relaunching the X-Men with some of its most popular members at the forefront in new titles and series, including Uncanny X-Men and Exceptional X-Men.
