The Justice League‘s Jurassic counterparts have officially been introduced to the DC Universe – And they are exactly as wild as fans would expect.
“Time Jerks” finds Booster Gold soaring through time and space only to be sent careening down toward a prehistoric Earth. There, a team of formerly unseen heroes emerge from their Cavern of Justice to investigate the crash. While this particular team of heroes is a far cry from the human, Atlantean, and Kryptonian fans are used to, they are still very clearly the same breed of heroes that Booster Gold is used to fighting alongside.

The Jurassic League first appeared in their very own self-titled miniseries from 2022 by writers Daniel Warren Johnson and Juan Gedeon, the latter of whom provided art for the series along with Rafael Garres and Jon Mikel. The team consists of six members, each an analog of their more famous counterparts from the DC Universe. These include Supersaur, Bat Walker (also known as Batsaur), Wonderdon, Flashraptor, Green Torch, and Aquanyx.
In February, it was reported that DCU head James Gunn was producing a Jurassic League animated feature along with Puss in Boots writer Brian Lynch. Currently, there are no details or concrete confirmation about the project, though it is expected to be aimed at a younger target audience than the majority of DC animated films based on Lynch’s previous screenwriting credits, which also include Minions and The Secret Life of Pets.

Superman’s Newest Nightmare is the Most Brutal Form of His Worst Enemy
One of Superman’s worst enemies gives rise to a whole new type of villain, and they are already more than the Man of Steel can handle.
The original synopsis for the Jurassic League miniseries explained the story’s setup as “An infant escapes a far-off planet before it explodes and is deposited on Earth to be raised by human parents. A goddess from a lost city defends truth. A Tyrannosaurus rex dons the visage of a bat to strike fear into evildoers’ hearts. This heroic trinity, alongside a league of other super-powered dinosaurs, join forces to save a prehistoric Earth from the sinister machinations of Darkseid.”
