McFarlane Toys recently unveiled a new classic DC Multiverse line Penguin figure, available for pre-order starting April 2.
The toy company posted the pre-order announcement of the McFarlane Collector Edition #12 Penguin 7″ scale figure on its official X (formerly Twitter) account. The figure first revealed at Wondercon, is based on the character’s DC Classic appearance. The Penguin, whose real name is Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, is one of the most prominent and enduring members of Batman’s rogues gallery. Created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, the self-professed Gentleman of Crime first appeared in December 1941’s Detective Comics #58.

The Penguin star Colin Farrell reveals plot details for The Batman’s spinoff series, which won’t be for the squeamish.
Per his classic comic depiction, which the Penguin 7″ scale figure matches, the Gotham mobster is a short, overweight man with a long nose who wears a monocle, top hat, and morning suit, bearing his signature umbrella, which often doubles as a tool concealing a plethora of inventive weapons. The Penguin operates a nightclub called the Iceberg Lounge, which provides a cover for his criminal activity.
McFarlane Toy’s DC Multiverse line features designs of many variants of popular DC characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Joker. The collaboration began in 2020 with the launch of the DC Multiverse line, serving as a continuation of Mattel’s DC Universe Classics.

Other DC Multiverse Line Figures From McFarlane Toys
Late last year, McFarlane Toys announced the pre-order start dates for two figures in its DC Multiverse line, the Superman DC Classic figure, and the Batman: Knightfall Nightwing figure, set to launch on December 8, 2024. The DC Multiverse line Superman 7″ scale figure features the iconic superhero, modeled after his original appearance from DC’s classic comic books, spotting a smile in his signature blue suit and red cape, boots, and shorts, with a yellow belt. The Nightwing 7″ scale figure is in his blue and gold costume, complete with a utility belt and matching blue mask as seen in the 1993-1994 Batman: Knightfall story arc. The toy company is yet to announce an arrival date for both figures.
McFarlane Toys has a DC Multiverse line 7″ scale Gold Label Cassandra Cain Batgirl figurine and Flash villain Edward Clariss’ The Rival action figure available for pre-order. Both will be exclusively available at Target. The toy giant has also teased the release of a Batman figure from 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film.
