On nov-5th, the Thai air Asia A320 neo experienced a extreme pressurization issues on a flight from Narathiwat to Bangkok,( Thailand). The incident, which happened during the aircraft intial climb from the origin airport, involved the need to wear oxygen masks and made an emergency descent. Interestingly, the crew decided to continue with the flight, arriving safely at Bangkok’s don mueang airport.
Incident details-
According to the latest Aviation updates, the Thai Air Asia A320 neo was performing flight-3131 from Narathiwat to Bangkok. Flight radar data shows that, this is daily service flight which takes 75 to 90 min To complete, usually leaving Narathiwat at or just before 12:30 local time.
The aircraft registered as HS-CBH, was climbing out Narathiwat when the crew stopped the climb at FL-200. The crew donned their oxygen masks and commenced and emergency descent to FL-100 due to ” cabin pressurization excess Cabin altitude”. This type of warning are triggered by the cabin pressure sensors.
Rather than diverting and returning the plane to Narathiwat, the aircraft continued to the Bangkok landing safely at don mueang airport safely after 90 min.
Crew decision-
It’s quite interesting that the crew decided to continue with the flight. As we excepting diversion to the nearest airport after an emergency descent.
As this has happened with similar loss of pressure incidents that most of the crews are diverted to the nearest airports.
In this case, we would guess that the crew demmed it safe to continue onwards Bangkok.
It’s also likely to be considered that Narathiwat airport would have lacked certified maintenance to deal solve the issues.

Vistara Airlines planning to operate direct flights to the USA.
Vistara is said to be eyeing direct routes to the USA. The carrier is looking to take advantage of growing travel demands.
Chief commercial officer Vinod Kannan said that airline had not confirmed any routes, Aircraft, and specific timeframe.
With the ongoing pandemic, direct non-stop flights are seeing increased demand as passengers remains concerned about the layovers and the increased risk of coming in contact with the virus. Vistara seems to keep exploit this demand as its fleet grows. By the end of 2023, the airlines aims to have almost doubled the size of it’s fleet from around 42 to 80.
Vistara Rapid growth in Indian Aviation-
As the airlines has International aims. Earlier this year, it announced that it would take advantage of travel bubble between UK and India. Vistara increased it’s Delhi to London route service 4 times per week to a daily service. Additionally Vistara launches it’s new route to the Doha, middle East.
Vistara excepts upto 30% of it’s capacity to be International routes by 2023. Currently just have 10% of international routes.
Vistara positioning itself well to take advantage of both long haul direct flights and shorter connecting routes. With a dedicated fleet of mainly b787-9( dreamlines) and A320 neo and A321 neo. Airlines recent growth looks set to continue.
At present, United airlines and Air India operates nine direct routes. between them, they connect Delhi and Mumbai with New York, San Francisco, and Chicago. Delta airlines also operates a route between New York and Mumbai. United is also set to launch new route connecting Chicago to Bangalore in spring 2021.

Kuwait Airways A330-800 operated it’s first commercial flight yesterday ( 20th Nov) flying a short distance between Kuwait and Dubai.
2. Delta A319 and skywest CRJ-700 both affected smoke in the cabin.
On Thursday, two separate incidents involving smoke in the cabin affected Delta and skywest Aircrafts. With both planes crew Forced to return to the airport of departure. An A319-100 operated by Delta turned back around and landed at Austin, And skywest-owned candair CRJ-700 had to make hasty landing at fort wyane.
Details of Delta flight-
A Delta flight from Austin, TX to Seattle WA, was forced to turn around and land at Austin less than an hour after taking off. Flight DL-1062 departed from Bergstrom International at 06:06 CST, before the crew immediately reported a smoke odour in the cabin. The plane circled back and landed at airport by 07:02 spending a total of 55min in the air.
There were 29 passengers on board all are said to be safe.
Details of skywest CRJ-700 flight-
The second Incident of the day was happened half an hour later on onboard skywest flight AA-3087. Operated on behalf of American airlines, the CRJ-700 took of from fort Wayne at 07:36 EST en route to Dallas/ fort Worth International. However, once plane reached at 10,000 feet, crew reported smoke and turned back around to make emergency landing at fort Wayne International.
The skywest flight landed safely at the airport at 08:06 half an hour after departure time.
