The End Of The Most Colorful Time Of The Year

My GBGV Life The End Of The Most Colorful Time Of The YearThe end of the most colorful time of the year is near. Mom and I were walking early in the morning the beginning of the week, enjoying the colors and smells of the flowering trees and bushes. We think it is sad trees lose this beauty after such a short time. Why can’t the flowering trees keep the flowers until fall?

My GBGV Life lilacsMom’s favorite is the purple lilacs. She loves to stop and smell them which I find totally silly. She won’t stop to sniff a dead squirrel or other good stuff, but she stops for lilacs.

Both of us find the white ones rather boring, but some people plant them, so they must like them.

Some people had tulips randomly blooming in the middle of their yard. It looks rather odd, but I guess they like it. Most of the tulips are starting to fall apart now.

We are not sure what exactly this blooming bush is, but the deep pink color is pretty.

My GBGV Life The End Of The Most Colorful Time Of The Year Mom loves the lilacs so much because of their smell. She says these are the prettiest flowers on trees, though. We don’t know what they are either. We are not a gardening family. Thankfully, one can enjoy any flowering plant or tree without needing to know what it is.

My GBGV Life The End Of The Most Colorful Time Of The Year When everyone gets back from their trip out east, the flowers will most likely all be gone. I get to enjoy them for a few more days with my pet sitter, so I am lucky. It still is really a shame that the most colorful time of the year is so short lived.

We’re joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
