A new visual for the original anime film Fureru. has been released and reveals in full “Fureru,” the furry creature that plays a pivotal part in the story.
In the movie, main characters Aki, Ryo, and Yuuta develop telepathic-like powers after touching Fureru, a porcupine-resembling creature that is part of the local folklore of the childhood friends‘ island hometown.
Fureru. is set for a fall 2024 theatrical release in Japan. It is the latest project involving the Super Peace Busters — director Tatsuyuki Nagai (A Certain Scientific Railgun T), scriptwriter Mari Okada (Maboroshi and Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms director and writer), and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka (Suzume, Darling in the Franxx). The three previously collaborated on Anohana, The Anthem of the Heart, and Her Blue Sky.
