The purpose of this post is to help you understand how to check if you are enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. You may have been selling on Amazon for some time or find yourself in a new role at a brand or manufacturer and it may be unclear if your products sold on Amazon are brand registered. Brand Registry offers many merchandising, brand protection, advertising, and reporting tools. It is important to know if your products are brand registered, and enroll your brand in Brand Registry if you find you are not. Using the Brand Registry tools will help you sell more products, make better decisions using Brand Registry data, and provide a better shopping experience for your Amazon customers. We will discuss a few methods to better answer your question of “Am I Brand Registered?” including checking the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) website for an active status, attempting to enroll in Brand Registry, and checking areas on Amazon to see if Brand Registry is connected to your Seller Central account.
Check USPTO for Live and Active Status
A simple step is to first understand if you have the requirements to enroll your brand in Amazon Brand Registry. If you do not have all the requirements for Amazon Brand registry, you likely will not have been able to register. One of the major requirements for Brand Registry is ensuring you have a pending or registered text or image-based trademark in the country where you wish to enroll. You’ll need to provide the trademark registration number that was provided by the Intellectual Property office. For the United States, this would be a registration with the USPTO, which can be found by searching the trademark office. If you cannot find your brand’s registration, you likely do not have Brand Registry and will need to register your trademark. If you do have an active registration, the next step to see is if you have shared that information with Amazon through the Brand Registry enrollment process.
