For air travel, there are specific rules regarding what foods and Drinks are allowed through airport security, on board,  Here’s a quick guide:

General Tips:

  • Avoid carrying liquids or gels over 100 ml in cabin baggage.
  • Always pack food securely to prevent spills or spoilage.
  • You can bring Home cooked food
  • you can carry Packed Sweets on board
  • Your foods normally won’t spoil in cabin as the aircraft cabin temprature maintained at below 20 degree
  • But if your food is inside your checked in baggage then confirm with airline as some aircraft cargo compartment won’t has ventilation system.
  • Check airline-specific rules, as they can vary.


1. Food Allowed In cabin

  • Solid Foods: Most solid foods are allowed. This includes sandwiches, fruits (except some restricted by international regulations), cakes, nuts, granola bars, and chips.
  • Liquids and Gels: Limited to 100 ml per container within a 1-liter clear plastic bag. This includes yogurt, peanut butter, sauces, soups, Ghee and drinks.
  • Prepared Foods: Meals such as cooked pasta, salads, and sandwiches are generally fine if solid, but avoid sauces or liquid-heavy dishes unless they’re below the 100 ml limit.Foods that spoil easily, like dairy products or meats, might be restricted depending on the flight duration.
  • Baby Food: If traveling with an infant, baby food is allowed.

Food Allowed in Cargo (Checked-IN Baggage)

For checked baggage, the rules are more Flexible:

  1. Perishable Items: Most perishable foods, including cooked meals and dairy products, can be carried, but it’s best to check specific airline policies.
  2. Large Quantities: You can carry larger quantities of food compared to cabin baggage.
  3. Packaged Foods: Commercially packaged items are usually allowed without restrictions.

2. Packing Tips for Food

  • Use spill-proof containers.
  • Pack foods that are shelf-stable and don’t need refrigeration.
  • Avoid foods with strong odors as they can disturb other passengers.

4. Outside Food on Flights

  • Allowed food types vary by airline, but generally, outside food is permitted as long as it’s solid and not overly aromatic.

Domestic Flight Meal Service Depends on Time, Flight Duration and class.

On flights under 30 minutes, only our selected Cookie Tins, Nut Cases, and water bottles will be available for purchase. Other food and beverage items will not be offered.

Flights under 60 minutes: All menu items, except for hot food and beverages, will be available for purchase based on availability.
