Honor Magic V5 foldable could feature a jumbo 6000mAh battery

Honor Magic V5 foldable phone has allegedly appeared on MIIT and 3C database, suggesting that the models will support a massive battery of over 6000mAh capacity. If true, the device will become the world’s first foldable with a big battery.

Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation noted that the Honor Magic V5 foldable will carry the biggest battery to date – a 6000mAh or above battery. It also hinted that the upcoming folding phone’s battery will comprise two distinct cells.

The value of these cells will be 2070mAh and 3880mAh. In that case, the total battery rated value will be 5950mAh. Meanwhile, the typical battery capacity could range over 6000mAh.

Apart from the battery info, the tipster also revealed that the Honor Magic V5 will support 66W wired charging. The power value is the same as the predecessor.

Some other inputs reveal that the Honor Magic V5 has the model number MBH-AN10. Perhaps, the company is planning to skip the “V4” model this time, just like Huawei (no Mate X4), and directly unveil the Honor Magic V5 folding device.

Further details include that the Honor Magic V5 phone will support Beidou satellite features. It will also bring an upgraded side-mounted fingerprint sensor to ease the unlocking experience for users.

Earlier, one of the company’s executives mentioned that Magic V foldable series will remain the thinnest folding handset in the world, challenging the newly launched OPPO foldable.

Thus, it would be worth seeing how Honor will install a big battery in the thinnest foldable and offer a lightweight design to the device. Stay tuned.
