Photographic Memory, the project of Los Angeles artist Max Epstein, is releasing a new album later this month, I look at her and light goes all through me, due out May 30 via deadAir. It includes last month’s “I Heard You” (one of the top songs of the week it was released) and he’s shared another new track, “Heartstyle.” This one features his regular collaborator Wisp (who he performed with at Coachella), and you can hear it below.
“There’s always a grip of friends at my studio just hangin’ out making music,” Max says. “Natalie came through and I showed her the track. She hopped in the booth and snapped. One take. That’s my lil sis. We also cut like 5 songs that day for various projects and had boba.”
Photographic Memory has a show supporting DIIV coming up this month, at Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom on May 25. That’s his only live date at the moment; stay tuned.
