Jonathan Anderson at Dior Men’s. Now that is something to get excited about. The Northern Irish designer who turned Loewe into a surrealist playground of craft, intellect, and pure fashion weirdness is officially stepping into one of Paris’ most iconic Maisons – and with him, he brings a new energy, a new perspective, and undoubtedly, a new look.
For seven years, Kim Jones had shaped Dior with his signature design ethos, announcing his departure in late January. But Anderson? He’s a different kind of storyteller. Less literal, more abstract. Less classic, more conceptual. If his legacy at Loewe is anything to go by, his Dior is going to be playful, sculptural, and just the right amount of bizarre.
The announcement …

When will his first collection show?
Anderson’s debut for Dior is set to land this coming June, which is a fairly quick turnaround given the appointment has only just dropped. We’re personally very excited to see how he absorbs the house’s DNA, tinkers with its signatures, and to see just how far he wants to push the creative envelope in his new role.
What do we expect from the appointment?
Will he start with a subtle evolution? Or will he shake up the House from day one? Knowing Anderson, he’s already thinking about how to make Dior feel new. And if one thing’s for sure: Anderson doesn’t do predictable.
At Loewe, he turned everyday objects into couture-level statements – from pixelated knitwear to coats that looked like sculptures, and dresses that felt like they belonged in a museum. Maybe we’ll see the Bar jacket reimagined with exaggerated proportions. Maybe the soft romance of Dior will take on a surrealist edge. Maybe he’ll blur the line between clothing and art entirely. But whatever it is, it won’t be boring.
