RENTON, Wash. — One teenager was killed and another was injured in a shooting Sunday evening in Renton, according to police.
The Renton Police Department said they were called to investigate a shooting at about 5 p.m. near Bronson and Viewmont. According to police, there were four “young people” in the car when the shooting happened. A 15-year-old was killed, while another teen was injured, police said.
Police said a 15-year-old victim tried to drive themselves to the hospital, but realized they needed help from 911. The teen made it to the 700 block of Rainier Avenue South, where they stopped for help. Investigators said the teen is expected to survive from a gunshot wound.
Officials are searching for the suspects involved. It is unclear what led up to the shooting.
