The new trailer for Bring Her Back has officially dropped, and if you’re still haunted by 2023’s Talk to Me, brace yourself—this next chapter from directors Danny and Michael Philippou looks even more disturbing.
This time, the twisted tale follows a brother and sister who move into the remote home of their mysterious new foster mother. Played by the always-incredible Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water, Paddington), the character has a chilling philosophy: “The spirit stays in the body for months after death.” Yeah… that line alone sets the mood.
The trailer is packed with unsettling moments—grainy old video clips, bathtubs that make your skin crawl, and a creepy, empty swimming pool that feels like something out of a nightmare. If Talk to Me turned grief and possession into one of the most original horror films in years, Bring Her Back looks ready to double down on those themes with even more emotional weight and supernatural terror.
Written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, the film stars Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, Mischa Heywood, and of course, Hawkins leading the charge. Bring Her Back hits theaters on May 30th.
