Kristin Pierce is leaving Milwaukee ABC affiliate WISN after three years.
Pierce co-anchors the 4 and 5 p.m. newscasts. She posted the news on social media, saying it was a “bittersweet announcement, but it was not a difficult decision.”
“I’ve made a lot of sacrifices for a career I’m passionate about,” she wrote. “In return, I’ve missed a lot. I don’t want to miss much else. Life is short and time is everything. I want more time with those I love the most.”
Pierce joined the station in March 2022 as weekend evening news anchor. She was later promoted to co-anchor of the 4 p.m. newscast. In January 2023, she was named co-anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast, filling the lineup spot vacated by Toya Washington.
Pierce has also worked at WHAS in Louisville, Kentucky, and WWL in New Orleans, and a reporter at WXYZ/WMYD in Detroit.
Her last day at the station will be on April 16.
