A major character spoiler has been leaked for Honkai: Star Rail 3.3. If it proves to be true, the event may forever change the course of the Amphoreus campaign and have serious implications for the future of the game’s story. At the moment, HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG is set to enter Version 3.2, an update patch that will bring several pieces of content to the title. This includes the new Trailblaze Missions, which will be set in to separate yet connected story arcs, as well as the releases of the playable versions of Anaxa and Castorice in Honkai: Star Rail.
This article contains possible spoilers for events that will occur in Version 3.3’s new quests.
While the content planned for Version 3.2 is almost entirely known, thanks to leaks and confirmation by HoYoverse, some attention is shifting toward Version 3.3 because of the patch’s beta tests. So far, there have been leaks about the new characters, Hyacine and Cipher, as well as an important update to the Memory of Chaos in Version 3.3. The leaks about the upcoming patch are being shared, and more information about it is constantly being shared. Although most leaks refer to gameplay features, such as Cipher’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.3, there are now new leaks about the story.

Aglaea May Be Killed In Honkai: Star Rail 3.3
The Council Of Elders May Be Responsible For Her Rumored Death
Most recently, a leak about a possible character death has been revealed. According to information provided by the leaker known as Uncle Greekmilk, which was reposted by Galaxy Leak, Aglaea may be killed by the Council of Elders, Amphoreus’ equivalent of a Senate, in Version 3.3. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Story” on Reddit. Aside from the rumored event itself, the leak doesn’t provide more details about how Aglaea will allegedly be killed by the Council of Elders during the campaign nor the results that this will have on the Chrysos Heirs in Honkai: Star Rail.

A new leaked mechanic added with Memory of Chaos in Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 may force players to carefully think about their team lineups.
Aglaea’s rumored death would be one of great impact, as she is, essentially, the leader of the Chrysos Heirs and the one directing the Flame-Chase Journey in search of the salvation of Amphoreus. The Goldweaver has been a constant presence in the Amphoreus arc since Version 3.0, and even when she doesn’t directly participate in the Chrysos’ Heirs’ missions in retrieving the Coreflames, she is involved in orchestrating their quests and aiding her fellow warriors. This includes opposing the Council of Elders, a governing body in Amphoreus that seeks to end the Flame-Chase Journey in Honkai: Star Rail.
Aglaea’s Leaked Death In Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 Makes Some Sense
The Character Has Been In Conflict With The Council Of Elders For Some Time
As much as the rumored event is scandalous in nature, an assassination on Aglaea at the hands of the Council of Elders does make some sense. Aglaea has been consistently opposing the Council’s efforts to thwart the Flame-Chase Journey and is, essentially, the direct opposition that the Council has in Okhema. The conflicts between the Chrysos Heirs and the Council of Elders are not new to the story and have been presented since Version 3.0. In Version 3.2, one of the story arcs will revolve around the Council’s efforts to stop the Chrysos Heirs’ Flame-Chase Journey in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail 3.3 Leaks: You’ll Really Want To Farm The Next Weekly Boss As Much As Possible
New leaks about Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 have emerged, hinting at a new weekly boss fight, which may be necessary for the several upcoming units.
As such, Aglaea’s rumored assassination may be a direct result of these efforts, even if pushed into Version 3.3 as opposed to Version 3.2, per se. Another interesting point in the rumors about Aglaea’s leaked death is how theme-appropriate it is. The whole structure of Amphoreus, from its design to its story, is heavily rooted in Ancient Roman and Ancient Greek mythologies, and that often extends to real-life history, too. One of the most notable assassinations of all-time is that of the Roman general Julius Caesar at the hands of the Roman Senate in defense of the Roman Republic.
Something similar could happen with Aglaea. While the character isn’t being portrayed as a dictator like Julius Caesar, the view the Council of the Elders may have of Aglaea seems to mirror how the Senate perceived Julius Caesar, which led to his assassination. This doesn’t mean that Aglaea will be shown being stabbed 23 times like the Roman General, but her extermination at the orders of the Council of Elders may be inspired by the real-life event. Aglaea has already been directly threatened by Elder Caenis in Honkai: Star Rail, who is known to be an assassin of Chrysos Heirs.
Aglaea was threatened by Elder Caenis during the Trailblaze Missions introduced with Version 3.0.
A curious aspect of the current state of the campaign is that the Astral Express representatives on Amphoreus have been, even if unmentioned, split between two distinct efforts. The Trailblazer is directly aiding the Chrysos Heirs on the Flame-Chase Journey, accompanying the heroes across various destinations as they retrieve the Coreflames. Dan Heng, on the other hand, has not been too active in this role, often staying in Okhema and getting involved with the local politics. Dan Heng may be a character who takes on Aglaea’s role in Amphoreus after she is allegedly assassinated in Honkai: Star Rail 3.3.
Aglaea May Be The First Character To Permanently Die In Honkai: Star Rail’s Campaign
The Character’s Leaked Death Could Push The Story Forward
If the leaks about Aglaea’s assassination are true, she may be the first character to die permanently in the campaign. The game has dealt with death before, but it’s either happened before the story, off-screen, or coded so as not to be treated like a death. Mikhail, the Watchmaker, is dead in the Penacony arc, but is never really shown dying. The Ever-Flame Mansion’s members were said to be killed by Acheron, but they aren’t shown meeting their demise. Tingyun was also believed to be dead, though she was only wounded and came back as Fugue in Honkai: Star Rail.

Lastly, Trianne is the closest thing to an on-screen death that players have seen so far. The character is shown being attacked by the Flame-Reaver as she saves Tribbie and Trinnon, but she doesn’t die in a traditional sense. After the attack, Trianne is reverted into a doll-like figure, while the larger entity Tribios continues to exist. This event, which resembles a death, is treated less like a death and more like a departure. Aglaea’s rumored death in Version 3.3, however, could change that, as it could be a straightforward death held permanently.
This could show that the stakes for Amphoreus’ future are at their climax and that no one, not even Aglaea in Honkai: Star Rail is safe.
This could have major implications for the game moving forward, especially if Aglaea’s death is permanent. The lack of deaths in the game, so far, had also meant that the risks to the story’s characters were minimal. Aside from Mikhail’s legacy, the campaign hasn’t been pushed forward by any death that has caused giant ripples, but Aglaea could be the turning point. As such, Star Rail could finally feel like a game set in the Honkai universe, as Honkai Impact 3rd does a good job of turning deaths into pivotal moments for character development.
For now, this leak should be taken with a grain of salt, as the information provided may be incorrect and is, certainly, incomplete. There is also a chance that the rumored death will be reverted in some manner, as other deaths in the game have been so far – this is also a common practice in HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact, which does not kill off playable characters. Even so, the mere mention of the death of one of the most important Chrysos Heirs in Version 3.3 is shocking, and it could forever change the course of Honkai: Star Rail’s campaign.
