Inside the Amazing Mind of Joe Rogan

When you’re the biggest podcaster in the world, you get to sit down with some pretty interesting people. Considering the fact that UFC commentator and Netflix special standup comedian Joe has a way with words, you get someone who has a truly fascinating take on the world. Since he needs no introduction, let’s jump right into the eye-opening alternative theories Rogan has discussed with his guests over the years.

Area 51 might just be the real deal

The most viewed video on the JRE YouTube channel is not Trump, it’s Bob Lazar! If you’ve never heard the name, we guarantee you’ll never forget it as soon as you listen to this episode. Even though it’s a few years old by now, it’s a piece of podcasting history that simply has to be heard by everyone who loves the world of free-flowing discussions.

Hearing everything about one of the world’s biggest conspiracy theories from someone who has long claimed to be there — but rarely spoken about it — is spellbinding stuff. Whether you think it’s fantasy, a little poetic license, or the greatest coverup known to a man, this is an episode of the JRE that you simply have to add to your playlist as soon as you’re done here.

Start listening and you’ll hear about little grey mean, dozens of unidentified craft, and incredible fuel and engine technology that no one can explain. A fascinating idea that is put forward is the one of heavy elements. If these crafts originated from a planet with stronger gravity and a different chemical makeup, they could be using the properties of heavy elements that have never been formed on our own planet.

The Great Pyramid could be an old power plant

Take a step back in time and you will find out that Cleopatra´s life was closer to the invention of the iPhone than the construction of the Great Pyramid. Why should that matter to you? Because it shows just how many millennia this iconic structure has been standing for. Someone we think of as a key figure in ancient history will have viewed the Great Pyramid as an ancient relic in her own time!

The fascinating thing is that a growing number of researchers are putting forward the idea of chemical resonances as a way of power the structure could have created. They suggest that two different liquids would be poured into certain chambers, left to mix, and followed by reaction producing the energy. Whether it is true or not, it’s certainly interesting to think about why structures of this scale were built.

The rise of therapy as a business

This may be a controversial one, but it’s certainly an area we need to mention if we want a clear insight into Joe’s mind. Therapy is pushed online constantly these days, and particularly in the U.S. where it is seen as something akin to a rite of passage. The problem, according to several of Rogan’s guests, is that it has become first and foremost a money-making enterprise.

While every therapist of course needs to be able to use their skills to pay their bills, the argument goes that they are increasingly focusing on ‘easy cases’ where they can make a quick buck. This isn’t to talk down a vital industry — far from it — but to raise awareness of how mental health of young people is being viewed from the outside. If every moment of angst or teenage emotional outburst is referred to a therapist, is that really a healthy way to live our lives? Once you’ve listened to a few more episodes, you can make your own opinion!

The carnivore diet and non-stop meat

You only have to look at Joe to see that, even in his late 50s, this is a man who is in shape. After all, he’s a lifelong martial artist and former national champ, so it’s probably not all that surprising that he works out every day. What may take you back, however, is what he eats. Rogan loves to hunt deer and elk with his bow and arrow out in the woods and regularly posts pictures of his butchering. On average he eats 2-3 pounds of meat a day and little else. Whether it’s the optimal diet for you and I is another thing, but the numbers don’t lie when you take a look at his physique.

Steak, steak, steak

One of the most famous voices to grace the JRE is definitely Jordan Peterson. To some he’s controversial and yet to others he’s a voice of reason in the abyss. No matter which way he lands with you, it’s fascinating to hear Joe discussing what Peterson eats: steak and salt water.

When his young daughter was afflicted with some of the worst joint issues you can imagine, she gradually found her way towards restrictive eating. As her self-studies continued, she narrowed what she could eat down to steak and salt and noticed her joint issues completely went away. Peterson followed her, lost 30 pounds, retained his lean muscle, and got rid of his auto-immune issues. Fascinating stuff!

Final thoughts

There are so many ways of wasting time online. It’s a wonder long-form podcasts has taken off in the first place. Despite all the distractions like YouTube rabbit holes, hundreds of the best slots sites in the UK, and Facebook doom scrolling, podcasts have somehow pushed themselves to the front of the queue in a way nobody could expected. The fascinating thing is that it has shown us that we can learn incredible things with the very devices that are responsible for destroying our ability to concentrate.

Take a moment to scroll through over two-thousand episodes of the JRE and will surely find something that makes your mind working!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
