Confidence Man Announce Remix Album ‘5am (La La La)’
Confidence Man have announced a new remix album, entitled 5am (La La La). As the title suggests, the album is a complete rework of the band’s ARIA-nominated third studio album, 3am (La La La) – which was previously re-released as the expanded edition 4am (La La La) back in February. The full tracklist of the remix album, as well as the first taste of it, can be found below.
To coincide with the remix album’s announcement, the Brisbane-born and London-based group have shared a remix of the track ‘Far Out’ by UK dance veterans Orbital. In a press statement, the brothers behind Orbital – Phil and Paul Hartnoll – said that they had “so much fun” remixing the song. “[It was] almost as much [a] pleasure as we had hanging out with them,” they said. “It’s genuinely one of our favourite remixes we’ve ever done.” The remix can be streamed below.

Other acts involved in the remix project include King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, who reworked ‘Sicko’, as well as New York trio (and recent Laneway Festival stars) Fcukers taking on ‘Real Move Touch’. Other contributors include Swedish DJ Adrian Lux, best known for the 2010 hit ‘Teenage Crime’, and Jimmy Cauty – one half of The KLF, who were said to be 3am‘s biggest inspiration.
