Varuni Napoli, one of the best pizzerias in Atlanta, will open a third location this winter in a 3,000-square-foot space at High Street, a mixed-use district between Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. It will join the newly opened Cuddlefish (from the team behind Brush Sushi and Lucky Star), Agave Bandido, Nando’s PERi-PERi, and Velvet Taco, among others, at the development. This marks a major trend of city restaurants opening OTP (outside the perimeter) locations, including Delbar in Alpharetta, South City Kitchen in Vinings, and Food Terminal in Sandy Springs.
Atlanta restaurateur Luca Varuni helped launch Antico Pizza, another local favorite in town, before opening Varuni Napoli. The first location opened in Midtown in 2014, and then at Krog Street Market in 2017. The third location will have familiar menu favorites like the Margherita Pizza, Maradona Pizza, and Reginella Calzone, paired with Italian wines and al fresco dining on a patio.
“I’ve been passionate about bringing the finest pizza and authentic Italian flavors to Atlanta for nearly two decades,” said Varuni in a statement. “Expanding to Atlanta’s Perimeter is an exciting step in sharing the spirit of southern Italy with even more of the metro Atlanta community.”
