Well hello, hello. It’s certainly been some time since I last posted on this platform, but I felt a flash of inspiration to share how I’ve been finding glimmers lately in every-day life. Sometimes I find life has a way of feeling ho-hum or same/same for periods of time, but isn’t that kind of crazy because feeling ho-hum or whatever is actually proof that nothing eventful or life-altering has happened – therefore isn’t that incredible?

Anyway, here are a few ways I’ve been adding glimmers to my daily life:
- Running errands in a casual but intentionally elevated outfit (think simple accessories, or a full lip instead of lip balm or even adding a belt to jeans and tee)
- Grabbing a coffee at a cute coffee shop before doing something I’m not into or even dreading
- If something is on my wish list, but it’s a little exxy – I’ll grab a cheap version of Temu before commiting to the real thing (say what you will about Temu, but their algorithm for suggested purchases is fire – they know a girl!)
- Strolling the isles at Hill Street Grocer (what I imagine Trader Joe’s to be IRL) for cooking inspiration, and picking up a bunch of flowers just because (road side stalls are also a great options for flowers)
- Pressing play on jazz music or a new podcast before I start cooking or baking (I’ve been enjoying experiementing with bread topped or mixed with mozzarella, parmesan and chorizo lately)
- Heading to a farmers market early in the morning when I’d rather be in bed, because I’ll know get some great food, see people I know and I can get a great coffee to boot.
- Adding to my ‘good things that are happening’ list in Notes
- Playing a new podcast or creating a vibe through a playlist before starting the car to leave
- Making a c0ffee before a work or Zoom meeting
- Having my diary on hand at all times to jot things down or write to myself
- Strawberry matchas over regular matchas – they’re sooo good!
How do you find glimmers in each of your days?
