In 2021, the James Bond movie No Time to Die saw the end of the central character. Now, word is coming that this end will be preserved, with the next movie set to be a prequel.
According to an informant to UK-based The Sun, Bond’s death won’t be ignored when Amazon reignites the series. “They can’t just pretend it didn’t happen. So they’re looking at his story as a younger man in a different era,” the anonymous source stated.
While a variety of names are heating up the rumor mill, collectors and investors could soon turn their attention to James Bond memorabilia—and there are plenty of options available to interested parties of all levels.
Bond, as many remember, was originally a book series by author Ian Fleming. First-edition books are always in demand and, as seen in a 2023 offering from Ewbank’s Auctions, can command very high dollars.
Funko Pops, including those signed by actors such as Daniel Craig, are a few steps down in price tag and are fairly more accessible. Figure options include mass-market retail pieces and others issued exclusively for outlets such as Barnes and Noble.
Collectors looking for entry-level products, meanwhile, can chase very reasonably priced autographs, trading cards, and similar items.
The next Bond movie, according to The Sun, is slated for release in 2027.
