Naarm/Melbourne-based DIY punk rock duo Mannequin Death Squad have just let rip their snarling sophomore album, Wise and Dangerous. Produced by the band themselves, the record is stacked with moody, high-octane punk gems including previous singles ‘Everybody’s Movin’ and DZ Deathrays collab ‘Safe And Warm’, and comes packing a fresh vibe-switching release day single dubbed ‘Shame’.
“Coming to terms with the fact that you are too nice and are getting walked over in life, ‘Shame’ is an indie rock anthem about taking responsibility for things not going your way,” the band explains of the rollicking, grungy singalong. “It’s about accepting that you are not special, and life is what you make of it.”
