Maybe I say this about all of the couples I work with, but I truly mean it… I get to work with the coolest, kindest, and most adorable people! Alex & Mackenzie planned on celebrating her birthday weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona, but little did she know that Alex (her soon to be fiancé) was planning to propose to her before they adventured out to Arizona!

I was on a plane leaving my hometown, Charleston, SC about to head back to Scottsdale when I got an email from Alex. He was reaching out about planning their engagement photos in Arizona & wanted me to capture them! Keep in mind, we began planning their engagement session before he even proposed! They really wanted a location that would capture Arizona’s essence to document their time spent in Phoenix so we decided that Lost Dutchman State Park would be the perfect spot! Lost Dutchman State Park is one of my favorite Arizona photoshoot locations because it is secluded, offers unbeatable views of the Superstition mountains, and showcases the desert charm.

All throughout their session we had a blast! Cracking jokes, getting to know each other more, and chatting all about life. It was the perfect morning. We ended their Arizona engagement photos with a champagne pop & making a TikTok lol!
