WhatsApp is focusing on integrating AI into the chat app. The company has used Meta AI to help users in various aspects, and this virtual assistant will now assist users to generate WhatsApp AI-powered profile photos and enjoy a new experience.
The company recently launched such a feature for WhatsApp group chats, allowing users to create AI group icons. Now, it is expanding the feature to individual chats.
Spotted in the WhatsApp Android Beta 2.25.9.8 version, the company has released a feature that generates AI-powered profile photos using Meta AI assistant.
Inputs reveal a new “Create AI Image” option on your profile page on the app. Tapping on it will ask you to describe what kind of image you would like as your display picture. And the best point is, you don’t have to upload any image for results.
Meta AI doesn’t use your existing image or ask for a new one. Instead, you have to enter a text describing your desired image. Based on the prompts, the assistant will generate an image. Users can further change it or add more creativity to it.
Those who do not prefer to use personal pictures as their profile photo can go for this option. Note that this feature is only available in certain regions at present. WhatsApp may expand it to more users in the coming days.
