It was still summery and green when I snapped photos of this quilt…now fall has arrived outside!
This quilt is called Hashtag, and I wrote the pattern specifically for fat quarters with easy cutting, little waste, and big easy blocks. This is a great one to show off fabrics since the pieces are larger.

I have a lot of patterns that can use fat quarters along with pre-cuts, but only a couple that are easy, beginner friendly patterns. I could hand this pattern to anyone with a stack of fat quarters and they’d be able to make it without getting frustrated!

I chose only blues and greens for this quilt, using a bundle I purchased from here (I don’t see that bundle anymore but she always great ones you can look at!). The main floral I chose my colors from is Vintage Garden by Rifle Paper Co. and then I added basics and some smaller florals. A lot of the basics and small prints are from my latest line Clover & Dot.

You know I like big blocks and nesting seams! These are 15″ (14 ½” finished).

Kaitlyn quilted this for me, and I need to use this pattern more often. It might be my new 2nd favorite (the Baptist fan is #1 forever).

I backed it in the green bee print from Clover & Dot (still in stores but you might need to google it…it’s getting hard to find), and bound with a dark blue plus star print.

As I was making it I couldn’t help but think it would be a great pattern for a teen’s bed with some fun sports or novelty prints thrown in. With almost 3 teenagers I know…pleasing teens can be tricky!
The Hashtag pattern can be found here as a PDF, or here as a Paper pattern.

Have a happy Halloween next week and eat all the pumpkin Reese’s for me!
