Since the team is so versatile, you can trust that your entire team will be up to date on your health and concerns, so you won’t need to worry about details getting lost in the fray.
Premier wants you to have all the knowledge about your visit that you need to feel comfortable in your care. You won’t feel rushed around with their longer scheduled visits; plus, that leaves a lot more time to get your list of questions from your notes app answered. As a patient, you can request to have your visit with a doctor, midwife, or both – it’s your choice!
Meet the Premiere Care Team
Now that you’ve got a taste of what Premier values for you as a patient, get to know the team and their specialties.
- Ashley Caldwell was a neonatal nurse before joining Premier Care. She has a passion for educating, empowering and supporting moms with babies on the way as a certified midwife.
- Desiree Arias settled to call Premier home after being a travel nurse. She is now a certified midwife for the team and handles all the ins and outs of women’s health. Well-woman visits, family planning, pregnancy, birth and menopause are all in her wheelhouse.
- Janelle Drogowski is a nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health and certified midwife. Janelle works with women for well visits, preconception care and normal pregnancies. She also specializes in hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
- Gary Newman is the Premiere Care for Women board-certified OB/GYN. He handles everything from preventative to maintenance women’s care and works with both normal and high risk pregnancy patients. Dr. Newman also performs pelvic surgeries for various pelvic disorders.
- Heather Lesmes is a general OB/GYN for both normal and high risk pregnancies. Her special interest in minimally invasive surgeries like vaginal hysterectomies, IUDs and period control are a great addition to the Premier Care team. Like Janelle, she offers HRT.
- Alexis Bischof is a midwife with a birth center and hospital background.
Premier Care for Women at Any Stage
The OB/GYNs, midwives and nurse practitioners at Premiere Care for Women work with you to help you feel your best at any part of your life. Whether you’re not thinking about kids yet, or about to have your third, or even if your chief title is Grandma, now, they’ll give you the best path for your needs.
Premier Care offers typical services like well checks, midwife care and obstetrics (OB), but they have a few additional services you might not expect. For normal and high-risk pregnancies you can schedule your 3D ultrasounds and find educational childbirth classes, including those provided by Az Breastfed Babies. The practitioners will lead you to their special network of doulas, like Rebecca Turrigiano, Victoria Calleja and Dianne Hamre.
We’ve also all been there – you run out of your prescription refills and totally forget to schedule a follow up – Premier has you covered with refills that will tide you over until your next appointment. Whew!
Aesthetics and Other Procedures at Premier Care for Women
This team of practitioners offers more than what you’d expect from your women’s healthcare team, and that’s aesthetics and health procedures! In-office procedures like hormone replacement therapy and contraceptives can be scheduled with the specializing practitioner. They offer vaginal laser therapy with the Mona Lisa Touch and partner with Elite Aesthetics and 360 Wellness to bring you additional services like weight loss and aesthetics.
Hospital Procedures
Premier Care for Women is partnered with Banner Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital for any surgical or emergency procedures you may need. Surgical procedures, like vaginal hysterectomies or those for pelvic disorders, are so much easier to manage when you know exactly where to go.
