Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin is facing a real-life nightmare after his wife, Victoria Goodwin, was arrested for allegedly trying to hire a hitman to kill him.
Victoria was taken into custody in Nevada on March 6, 2025, on charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Authorities say she had been plotting since October 2024, working with Florida inmate Grant Amato to arrange Aaron’s death rather than filing for divorce.
According to court documents, Victoria allegedly set aside $11,515 for the hit, with a $2,500 upfront payment. She also provided details of Aaron’s filming schedule and locations to help coordinate the attack. The plan fell apart when prison officials in Florida confiscated Amato’s phone and discovered incriminating messages.
Aaron, who married Victoria in August 2022 at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, was reportedly blindsided by the news. His Ghost Adventures co-star, Zak Bagans, commented on the situation, saying: “This is an emotional time for Aaron, and I’m just trying to be there for him, providing love and support.”
So far, Aaron has not spoken publicly about the case, but sources say he believed his marriage was solid and had no idea Victoria might have been plotting against him.
Victoria has denied the allegations, claiming she doesn’t remember sending messages about the murder plot and believed the money was meant for purchasing cell phones. She remains in custody on a $100,000 bond, with a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
