Le Grand Hôtel Cayré offers 121 bespoke rooms alongside two distinct suites overlooking the Eiffel Tower; The Collector’s Suite and The Collector’s Chamber, both fitted out by French art advisor, personal shopper and collector Gilbert Kann. The suites—which can either be reserved separately or together to form an apartment— are an ode to collectable modernist design and France’s unique craftsmanship.
Recognisable 20th and 21st-century pieces are paired with bespoke one-off items throughout the space, both at home next to legacy French brands including Maison Pierre Frey and DCW Editions. As each piece is directly available for purchase, the suite is an ever-evolving showcase where no two visits are alike.
Gilbert Kann has collaborated closely with Michaelis Boyd to ensure that the experience goes beyond just the aesthetics. Every detail aside from the visual elements has also been considered in the Collector’s Suite, with Le Labo Santal 33-scented shower sets, an all-inclusive minibar with refreshments from local French makers, a retro Marshall speaker and a curated lineup of art, architecture and design coffee table books.
In an arrondissement celebrated for its diverse art history, private galleries and vintage showrooms, the Collector’s Suite at Le Grand Hôtel Cayré naturally reflects its surroundings.
