A fish markt at the Indian State of Goa. My first station of a 4-weeks-trip. In the evening hours I was strolling around and came to the market. People were so friendly and open minded to me and liked to show me there world on the market.
This photo is part of a collection I produced during a trip to India in 1988. I travelled from Bombay (today Mumbai) by train, bus and boat to the south. My destination was the rural area of Peikulam. There I met the doctor who had invited me during his trip in Germany. I made photos of the St. Luke’s Leprosity Hospital and other clinics and orphanages. At that time I was a newspaper journalist working with a Nikon FM2/28 mm.
