The Currentbody RF Radio Frequency skin tightening device is a small hand held device , that has 4 small metallic nodules at the end which transmit the radio frequency into the skin to work at a cellular level. This will improve collagen and elastin production which in turn improves the overall appearance of the skin.
HOW TO USE THE CURRENTBODY RF SKIN TIGHTENING DEVICE :
The Currentbody RF device is really quick and simple to use. It comes with a full instruction manual and is ready-to-go straight from the box. It is a plug-in device so no need to charge etc you just need to use it near to a plug socket!
1.) Ensure skin is clean and free from any jewellery. Apply the conductive face gel all over the face / area to be treated.
2.) Plug in the RF device and switch on, select the level you want it to work at – there are 3 and I started on the most gentle (1) and worked my way up over the weeks.
3.) Touch the device on the skin and the area you are going to treat and move the device around, you will feel it warm up.
4.) Treat each area for 5 minutes for optimum results. After this the light turns orange and you can move to another area to treat. You can treat multiple areas in one sitting for example the 11’s, forehead, crow’s feet, cheeks, neck etc. It takes around an hour if you want a full facial and to target all the areas or you can just use it quickly and target problem areas.
5.) Switch off and remove any excess conductive gel from the device and replace the lid, ready for storage.
6.) Continue your skincare routine as normal.
You only need to use the device once a week on the area/s and for a 8 week period to get noticeable results. You can then ‘top up’ as needed. Straight after use, your skin will have slight redness from the heat which is totally normal, this is increased blood flow and will calm down quickly. I actually find the warmth from the device relaxing and really enjoy using it! I like to use it in the evening when I am watching TV. That way I can also just finish up with my evening skincare routine and don’t need to worry about makeup / redness etc.

I have only been using the Currentbody RF device for around 4 weeks now so I will wait until week 8 to update here and show you the before and afters then but I did was to share the before and after of just one treatment as I think you can see an immediate difference and it also shows you how the skin looks straight after. I honestly feel glowing after using it! The warmth stays on my skin for a while after use, and again this is normal. Just look at that glow!

Is the Currenbody RF Radio Frequency Skin tightening device suitable for all skin types?
Most skin types can use the RF device. There are some cases where it may not be suitable such as pregnancy, if you have had botox within the last 3 months or are using retinoids or have in the last 6 months. please refer to the Currentbody website for a full list of conditions that may contradict radio frequency treatment.
How often do I need to use the Currentbody RF Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Device to get results?
Once a week for 8 weeks. Each area can be treated for 5 minutes and the full face can be treated in one sitting if you wish. Alternatively you can just focus on certain areas (ie eye wrinkles), it’s up to you and your skin’s needs.
Does the Currentbody RF Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Device hurt?
No! It has a warming sensation which you can feel as it heats to 43 degrees to work optimally. This feels comfortable and actually quite relaxing on the skin. The device is constantly moved around on the skin so it won’t make the skin too warm and the Skin Sense technology ensures the temperature won’t get too warm.
Will the Currentbody RF Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Device make me red?
Straight after use you will notice some redness on the skin which is totally normal and expected due to the warmth. You can see in the above before / after photos how I look immediately after RF treatment. The redness calms down within 10 minutes or so.
Can I use the Currentbody RF Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Device with my LED mask?
Yes. Light therapy and radio frequency do different things to the skin. Some benefits do cross-over but you will see more benefits and results from using these in combination if you wish. I would use LED after RF as it helps with inflammation, redness and healing.
What comes in the box when you buy a Currentbody RF Radio Frequency device?
When your box arrives with you, you will have the RF device, a plug with x3 different adapters, a radio frequency gel, a travel bag and instruction manual, as per the picture below! Once you run out of the radio frequency gel this can be purchased separately.
WHAT’S THE KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RADIO FREQUENCY, MICRO CURRENTS AND LED?!
I think this is important to discuss as it can be a little confusing so I will break down in really simple terms. Most of these devices do have slight crossover in terms of benefits aka the LED will improve skin tone and texture, as will radio frequency and micro currents but all of them have their primary benefits and they work in slightly different ways.
