  2. Anyone else used to love these but now think they're weird? I mean some of these animations look like they're missing half their frames, and all that wobble and shakiness is just ridiculous. Sounds are still nice though

  3. Despite the general accuracy of the firearms and their mechanics, one particular gun bothers me slightly.

    The pkm.

Unlike most western belt fed machine guns, the pkm uses rimmed ammunition, and therefore necessities having a "pull out" rather then a "push through" belt fed system. There are two claw belt extractors on the bolt carrier, that literally pull the cartridges out backwards. During the loading procedure, the action has to be closed, so you can load the first round behind this claw, then once you close the top cover, you would charge the action, readying the first round for firing.

In the animation, the player STARTS by charging the weapon, which means the bolt and carrier would be in the rear position, held by the sear. Instead, upon opening the top cover, the bolt is closed, claw forward, ready to accept the first round. The player then closes the action, and correctly charges the weapon.

In order for the animation to be correct, there are two options"

Player character runs the operation of the weapon as currently shown, but with the added step of pulling the trigger before of just after opening the top cover, sending the bolt and carrier forwards*

Player character leaves out the first step of charging the action, leading to the bolt and carrier being in the correct position for loading*
