While John Millman is expecting a fit Novak Djokovic to win his semi-final in four sets, retired great Andy Roddick is tipping that the Serbian’s coach, Andy Murray, will have a ball.
Nine commentator Millman believes Djokovic has the smarts to outpoint German No.2 seed Alexander Zverev as they prepare to slug it out on Rod Laver Arena.
The Djoker appeared to be moving freely on the Melbourne Park practice courts during a late warm-up little more than 30 minutes ago. He will serve first after Zverev won the toss and elected to receive.
Meanwhile, Roddick believes the Serbian’s poker-faced coach is enjoying himself as he directs Djokovic from his courtside seat.
“I’ve got to imagine that Murray is having a blast,” he said on his Quick Served podcast.
“If you’re Murray, you still see and understand the game the same way, and also you have the best player ever to kind of follow your orders or opinions, or give feedback to.
“So I imagine the conversations are unbelievable.”
